Did Hugs from Brothers freak you out???
by orangefatcat inon many occasions at the kh brothers are seen hugging sisters and i wondered how that would make you feel and would you tell your husband about it?
on several occasions i knew of this married sister who was constantly approached by a married elder and he would hug this sister to the point it made her feel uncomfortable.
upon speaking to her about it on many an occasion i said to her if you feel uncomfortable then it he is in the wrong.

No! but being hugged by them old fleshy prunes we called faithful elderly sisters made me sick. When I was a little guy those same old prunes would give me stale hard candy from their purse that had spilled perfume in it, which would gag me to death cause I had to put it in mouth or my mom would pull my ear. I still remember this old bittie all of us little kids would clammer around her before and after the meetings to get candy from her purse, no wonder I always had the flue.

I want to ask her out...
by DanTheMan inthere's a girl in my math class at community college who...omg she is such a hottie.
a babe-alicious babe.. i am very inexperienced in these matters, i guess you could say i'm relationship challenged.. how do i approach her?
she seems to struggle a bit with the material we're covering in class, and it comes pretty easy to me.

This is what you do Bud, just say out straight "I want to take you out to dinner and a dance". Or what ever you want to do with her. One thing I have learned about women, there is no special thing to do, that feeling comes from when you were in school. Just ask them or tell them you want them to do this or that, if they firmly say no then say: see you around" and find a new chick cause that one is stuck on her self.

Did you ever feel at peace at a Kingdom Hall?
by Singing Man inonly a few times when i was in my late teens about the time of when armagedon was suposed to happen in 75 did i ever feel at peace.
the rest of the time i felt on edge and like my life was slipping away.
i also have felt like that if i had the realization that i was real close to jehovah or jesus, or just was spiritual in general i felt ashamed for it somehow.

Singing Man, I can't say that it was *peace* that I felt at the Kingdom Hall, but I will tell you this, I can remember thinking to myself during a meeting, that I would be *safe* if Armageddon came at that moment. Sad. So I guess, in a way, you could say that I felt *fear* while at the hall. Even as a child, I knew something was screwed up about that place. It simply was never real to me. I use to day dream during the prayers!
Yeh me too, I used to as kid dream about the girls in school or count the sparkly things on the beams accross the walls. When I was real young we went to a old hall that had a picture of the new world, man it was old but it was full size. I would stare at that picture and draw pictures of it I had to circle Gods name in the publications about 14000 times. I learned a lot I guess. I also remember the smell that a hall has as a kid, it smells like chewing gum from peoples breath and sin sins, yuck.

Have you commited the unforgivable sin?
by petespal2002 inthe ultimate taboo of being a jw is the unforgivable sin, a direct action of going against the leadings of the holy spirit.
did this used to bother you, and do you think you are seen by jw's as having committed it?
for instance, is apostasy the only occurance of it, or in you opinion would it include adultery etc.

I have had it done in 1990, I don't think I would have at the time but my mate at the time wanted it so she kicked my arse into the doctors office. Hey its no biggy, you will feel sore for a few days and it will like a potato but it goes away. Everything is the same, you just don't have fish swiming no more. Here is cue ask your doctor to give you some valium a half hour before the procedure. Enjoy the rabbit life latter. Hootie Hoo
